2003 – 2010
Before starting BConverse Consulting, our founder spent seven years as a Network and IT Manager for a Pacific North West business. That experience — managing real infrastructure, working with real budgets, and supporting real users — built a foundation that no bootcamp or agency background can replicate.
When the 2009–2010 economic downturn led to a layoff, it became the catalyst for something better. Rather than return to an in-house role, Ben launched BConverse Consulting as a direct response to a gap he had witnessed firsthand: small and mid-sized businesses needed expert technology help without the corporate condescension.
2010 – 2015
The early years were defined by versatility. BConverse took on everything from network setup, in-person and remote IT support to early WordPress site builds and basic e-commerce work. Each client relationship reinforced the same lesson: businesses needed a trusted technology partner, not a series of disconnected vendors.
As WordPress matured and Shopify began its rise, Ben made an early bet on both platforms — developing deep expertise that would define BConverse's core service offering for the next decade.
2015 – 2020
BConverse grew from a solo consulting practice into a small, specialized team. The client portfolio expanded beyond simple site builds into complex integrations, custom plugin development, multi-platform CRM connections, and e-learning platforms.
Partnership work with marketing agencies like BergmanCramer and Tristan Michele Marketing brought national brand projects into the fold — work with clients like Mann Packing, Arctic Glacier, Revol Green, The SF Market and others requiring the kind of technical depth that most marketing agencies do not have in-house.
2020 – Present
Today, BConverse operates as a full-service web development and digital consulting agency based in College Station, Texas, serving clients nationwide. Our stack has grown to include React, Supabase, custom API development, and AI-assisted tooling alongside our core Shopify and WordPress work.
We remain intentionally focused — a small, expert team rather than a scaled agency. This means every client works directly with the developers doing the work, not an account manager or project coordinator layer. That directness is a feature, not a limitation.
